Women Cookbook
Will Companies Sponsor a Cookbook?
I am compiling a cookbook of favorite recipes that are healthy, quick and easy to prepare from many women. I have put them together in a cookbook on Blurb, and will be having books made for all the women who contributed to the cookbook.
My issue arises in finding funds to print the cooks. I am a single mom and about 80% of those who contributed are also struggling single moms (thus I don't want to charge them any more than $5/book). I thought about going to local companies and asking if they would donate funds to print the books in exchange for having advertising in the books.
How would I go about this? What is the likelihood a company will agree to this?
All you can do is ask. You'll hear the world "No" a lot, but someone will say "Yes" somewhere. Just keep asking and keep adjusting the way you ask until you find the correct way. You might also try talking to the local Chamber of Commerce. Real Estate Agents or Broker offices love to have their name in print so that's another good option. Churches often sponsor things like this for good causes and have connections when it comes to massive print jobs as well.
The likelihood that a company would agree depends on how much you ask and how determined you are. Good Luck!
