Christmas dessert contest of ideas needed?
Me and my friends have a dessert contest annual Christmas and I need a idea. As we are all girls winning dessert is usually made with chocolate. It must also look too Christmasy - winner all the time Chocolate cake is a Christmas tree with green icing and decorations. Suggestions?

Heres a twist of chocolate fruitcake fruitcake Ingredients * 12 1 / 4 oz (350 grams) soft prunes, chopped * 8 3 / 4 ounces (250 grams) raisins * 4 1 / 2 ounces (125 grams) currants * 6 1 / 4 ounces (175 grams) butter Unsalted, Softened * 6 1 / 4 (175 grams) dark muscovado sugar * 6 1 / 4 fluid ounces (175 ml) honey * 4 1 / 2 fluid ounces (125 ml) coffee liqueur * 2 orange zest and juice * 1 teaspoon mixed spice * 2 tablespoons good quality cocoa * 3-range free eggs, beaten * 5 1 / 4 ounces (150 grams) flour * 2 1 / 2 ounces (75 grams) ground almonds * 1 / 2 c. teaspoon baking powder * 1 / 2 teaspoon coffee soda For decoration: * 1-ounce (25 grams) dark-covered coffee beans edible glitter-chocolate * * mini * Approximately golden balls 10 edible gold stars Directions Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Line sides and bottom of an 8 1/2-inch by 3 deep bottomed cake tin loose round with a layer of reusable silicon baking parchment. When lining the tin with parchment, cut the material into strips that are two times higher than the box itself (it is easier to use two shorter strips of parchment, a long strip), the height of the strips protects the cake to capture the outside of the cake pan. Put fruit, butter, sugar, honey, liqueur coffee, orange zest and juice, mixed spice and cocoa in a large wide saucepan. Heat the mixture until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring the mixture into the melted butter. Simmer for 10 minutes. Remove pan from heat and let stand for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes the mixture has cooled down some. Add eggs, ground almonds, flour, baking powder and baking soda and mix well with a spoon or wooden spatula until the ingredients are combined. Carefully pour the fruitcake mixture into lined pan. Transfer the pan the oven and bake for 1 3 / 4 to 2 hours, or until top is firm but has a shiny and sticky. At this point, if you insert a sharp knife in the middle of the cake, the cake should still be a bit raw in the middle. Place the cake on a cooling rack. Once the cake has cooled, remove it from the tin. To decorate, place the covered coffee beans, chocolate in the center of the cake and arrange the gold stars on the perimeter of the cake surface.
