What is a good review for the book So Others May Live?
I read the book but i am a little confused. Is it pretty much about what it takes to be a U.S. Coast Guard? and then about some stories that the Coast Guards have done to save people's lives?
I read the book about 2 years ago when I was leaving for the Coast Guard. the first chapter really just gives you a look into the history and training of the U.S. Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer. That is what the book focuses on is the AST rating. The chapters after that just focus on the kind of incredible missions that have taken place in the past years and the rescue swimmers that were called on to complete them. I thought it was a real good book.
