Library Cookbooks
How do you feed two adults and a 15 month old nutritiously on a very low budget?
I'm really worried about my 15 month old son's diet - he lives on things like toast, farleys rusks and yoghurt (he's the fussiest baby ever - he refuses to even try anything else!). He still breastfeeds so I guess he's getting some goodness from that but I'm so worried he's not getting what he needs. I mentioned it to his Dr but he doesn't seem worried as his weight and health are fine.
Our own diet isn't too good as w';re on a very low income and simply can't afford to buy much more than very basic, limited quantities of fruit and veg, and we never buy meat. (my other half is a bit of a junk food addict as well)
I've got various baby cookbooks from the library but they all use expensive, "fancy" organic ingredients and require the use of a freezer (which I don't have) and good cooking facilities (which again I don't currently have).
Any ideas on what sort of things I could cook that my son might eat and we could also eat but on a very very limited and low budget?
If you have the room, grow a garden, plant your favorite vegetables. Dirt is free and seeds or small plants are real cheap compared to the grocery store.
