I need some ideas! New recipies, fast, simple, elegant.?
I'm wanting some new recipies, i eat alot of chicken and pork chops, and i can never find a good pork chop recipe. I'm wanting all kinds of new ideas from appetisers to meals.
Pork Chops with Potatoes and Mushrooms:
2 8-ounce pork chops
Salt and pepper
2 cloves garlic- cut into thin slivers
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1/2 cup white wine
2 sprigs of fresh thyme
2 bay leaves
20 small Parisian scooped potatoes (a small scoop similar to a melon baller)
10 morel mushroom caps- if available, if not 5 large shiitake caps split in half
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Using a small knife, make 5 slits on each of the pork chops and insert a sliver of garlic deep into each slit. In a cast iron skillet or oven-proof skillet heat oil. Brown chops for 4 to 5 minutes on each side. Add vinegar, wine, thyme, bay leaves, potatoes, and mushrooms. Place in the oven and cook for 15 to 18 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and brown, and pork is cooked through but not dry. Remove from the pan and arrange on a platter. Garnish with chopped parsley.

Cheese Chili Bites:
1 c All-purpose flour
1/2 c Finely grated Cheddar cheese
1/4 ts Salt
1 Egg, beaten
1/2 ts Dry mustard
1 tb Cold water
1/2 ts Hot chili powder
1 tb Sesame seeds
1 lg Pinch cayenne pepper
1 tb Poppy seeds
1/4 c Butter or margarine
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 400'F. (205'C.). Sift flour, salt and spices into a bowl. Cut in butter finely until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add grated cheese and mix well. Mix egg with cold water. Add 2 tablespoons of egg mixture to cheese mixture and mix to form a fairly stiff dough. Knead gently on a lightly floured surface. Roll out dough to a 12x6" rectangle. Trim edges. Cut in half lengthwise and transfer to a baking sheet. Brush each half with remaining egg mixture. Sprinkle 1 half with sesame seeds and the other half with poppy seeds. Cut each half in 10 triangles and separate slightly to prevent sticking. Bake in preheated oven 10-12 minutes or until light golden and cooked through. Cool on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.

Crab and Cream Cheese:
1-pkg.of imitation crab meat (shredded)
1-pkg. of cream cheese (softened)
2-3 TBSP. grated onion
1-tsp.of Tony Chachere's Cajun seasoning mix.
Preparation:
Shredd crab meat into smaller stripe size pieces until there is no chunks left. Mix this in with cream cheese. Add seasonings, mix well.
*Cover and refrigerate over night This allows the seasonings to blend in. Serve with club soup crackers.
