Anyone cheated with Delia Smith recently (perish the thought)?
OK, so some of us can't cook like a 5 star Michelin chef, but come on.....Delia Smiths latest 1 star offering?
Does anyone, (or has anyone) taken Delia Smiths recent cooking adventures seriously? How to cheat at cooking? How soon before she does a primitive cooking show? "how to stay alive" or "how to make toast". "How to follow the labels on reheating baked beans?"
GOD that woman grates me the wrong way. I'm sure we'd all like to be better in the kitchen (and the bedroom too for that matter), but cheating just doesn't do it for me - I'm still alive, haven't starved to death (yet), and can muster up some decent scran should I put in the time and effort.
Delia.....It's time to retire. Stick to football speeches...Oh wait, that's also a bad idea....

I only watched one episode! I hated it! I'd forgotten how condescending she sounds!
I don't even see the point of it. I've been cheating for years, I can't make pastry, so I use frozen. Like most busy Mum's I've learned how to cheat and everyone I know has their favourite short-cuts.
With all the additives and salt or sugar in pre-prepared foods she should be encouraging us to make good meals with fresh ingredients quickly, but luckily there are a lot of programs that already do and with chefs or cooks who don't 'talk down' to you!
I like her recipes, I even have her books, but watching her just puts me off cooking altogether.
She should have retired years ago!
