How does the American version of "Bridget Jones: The edge of reason" end?
Apparently there are alternate endings to the film, one for the UK and one from the USA. What is the ending like in the USA?
It ends with Mark proposing to Bridget while she is soaking wet. She accepts. Cut to a wedding, but it's not theirs. It is the renewal of vows for Bridget's parents and everything really is purple.
Bridget is in a gawdy purple monstrosity as the bridesmaid and Mark is in a purple tux as the best man.
It ends with the "bridal party" leaving the church. Bridget catching the bouquet and falling on her arse and Mark and Bridget walking off together in the snow through a cemetery with Bridget doing voiceover about not being perfect and that's ok.
